Lake Kiowa is in the neighborhood, and the Bird Creek Trail offers hiking at its best. Do pay a visit to Katmai National Park & Preserve if you're here at Gwenn Lake, and not far from Gwenn Lake you get some great water scenery at Ship Creek Dam. Campbell Creek is a good whitewater spot near Gwenn Lake. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Gwenn Lake has to offer, you can camp at Hidden Heaven       RV Park. This lake is so wonderful. There are plenty of people from Anchorage here at Gwenn Lake, and you're possibly interested in lakes, Ship Creek Reservoir is one of those nearby. Hilltop has good slopes and a friendly staff; you can run the rapids of Ship Creek. Ramada Limited Anchorage is a great spot to get some rest, and don't forget to take a good little trip to Fossil Creek. Just can't get enough of Gwenn Lake. This lake is so wonderful.
