A lake nearby is Lake Otis, and the Bull Rock Trail offers hiking at its best. During the warmest time of the year, highs mostly are in the 60's at Goose Lake while overnight lows are regularly in the 50's. All through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Goose Lake fall into the 0's. All our national parks       are great places to go to, and Katmai National Park & Preserve is no exception, and if you're a golfer then a delightful close by course is Anchorage Golf Course. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Ship Creek offers some tremendous whitewater; University Lake is a nearby lake that you could have a look at. And if you're still looking for more outdoors exciting stuff just keep reading. Alpenglow At Arctic Valley is a very popular                  ski area in the vicinity. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Goose Lake has to offer, you can camp at Golden Nugget Camper Park. Goose Lake is mostly a pretty dry site; during the month of September you get the most rain around here; the driest month of the year is April. If you need a place to stay Alaskan European B&B is a wonderful choice, and this is a popular site for folks from Anchorage. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Hilltop.
