There's whitewater on Twentymile River for all you adrenaline kick people; there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Alyeska. Glenn Lake is a location that is reasonably dehydrated ordinarily; the month with most of the rain is September; the driest of the months is March. The Hotel Alyeska is a splendid place to get some rest, and why not camp at Beaver Pond Campground while you're here at Glenn Lake. Summer at Glenn       Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 60's while night lows are regularly in the 40's. Highs during the winter are commonly in the 20's with temperatures at Glenn Lake dipping down into the 0's all through winter nights. You can run the rapids of Portage River close to Glenn Lake; Divide Lake is a tremendous lake close by. Now, you may imagine that's a load but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here in the Chugach Mountains. Portage Valley RV                  Park and Cabin Rentals is a pleasant local campground. Lakes? Sure, Carmen Lake is in the vicinity. And if that's not enough, there's heaps more to do near Glenn Lake.
