Alaska has many beautiful lakes and Fish Lake is one of them. Fish Lake is located in the Talkeetna Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. There are tremendous spots to discover along the Chickaloon River Trail; in case you don’t mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Matanuska River.
It is very dried out here at Fish Lake generally; of all the months in a year September is the one with the most rain, and the driest month of

| | the year is March. Going for a hike on the Chickaloon Trail is always a great adventure; a perfect close by hotel is Gold Miners Hotel. All the outdoors entertaining stuff in the Talkeetna Mountains will keep you coming back persistently. Visit Linquist Creek since you're here at Fish Lake, and whitewater paddling is wonderful on Kings River.
