From Fawn Lake you get a great panorama of Deer Mountains, and a great nearby hotel is Inn at Creek St. and NY Hotel. You'll meet a lot of people from Ketchikan here, and why not check out South Fawn Lake Dam since you're here. This lake is so wonderful. Alava Bay Cabin - Tongass National Forest is a perfect campground nearby, and a tour to Bald Headed Cove is always a delightful idea. | | cools down to the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's, and all through the dark hours in the winter at Fawn Lake temperatures sink to the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. There are other locations here than Fawn Lake, for example Fawn Lake, and California Rock is a great site to spend some time. You assume that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Cape Fox Lodge is a perfect choice. There's some flowing water close by, Ketchikan Creek is a stream you can visit while you're here, and not far from Fawn Lake you'll find Fawn Lake which is a lovely lake. Admiralty Cove - Tongass
National Forest is a nice local campground, and if you want to hit the beach, Black Sand Beach is nearby. Fawn Lake is a quite wet place usually with lots of rainfall; during the month of October you get the most rain around here while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation.

 | 1 PHOTO Hey all, Just for informational purposes, I just got back from camping/fishing on Jim's lake, which is located smack dab in the middle of Admiralty Island, and have posted some pictures for anyone who is interested in visiting. When we booked, we had very little information about the area, cabin, etc., so I thought I would provide some pictures and information about our trip. http://www.jimslakecabin.com We had a great time while we were there for a week--the area was beautiful, and we were pulling out 25-30'' Kokanee left and right.
