Eyak Lake is always a pleasure to visit. Take a little visit to Lydick Slough while you're here at Eyak Lake; a good place for whitewater paddling is Power Creek. The high level of rainfall makes Eyak Lake a reasonably wet spot; of all the months in a year September is the one with the most rain; the driest month is July. Eyak Lake is one of the lakes here in the Chugach Mountains.
Summer brings highs in the 60's to Eyak Lake while overnight lows are

| | commonly in the 40's. All through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Eyak Lake dip into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. On a great day at Eyak Lake you can take a hike along the Lake Elsner Trail, and Middle Arm is rather close. And if that's not enough there's a lot more cool stuff to do in the Chugach Mountains. A spree to Wrangell - St Elias National Park & Preserve is worthwhile, | |

and Wortmann's Creek is a nice whitewater spot nearby.
Life's too short to enjoy all the fun things close to Eyak Lake. There is a magnificent hiking trail right next door to Eyak Lake called the Sheridan Mountain Trail, and if the weather is magnificent, you can go for a hike along the Eyak Trail.
