All year is a splendid time in the Chugach Mountains if you adore the outdoors.       There's splendid hiking along the Eyak Trail; Crater Lake is a tremendous lake close by. Wrangell - St Elias National Park & Preserve is a delightful place close to Eyak Lake, and a trip to close by Middle Arm is very relaxing. Eyak Lake gets a good deal of water; most of the rain falls all through September, and the driest of the months is July. This lake is located in the wonderful Chugach Mountains.
