Lake Elsner is always a pleasure to visit. Hiking along the Lake Elsner Trail is brilliant fun; drift down the rapids of Power Creek in a kayak. And that's not all the things you can do here in the Chugach Mountains. Have a great hiking adventure along the Sheridan Mountain Trail, and Wrangell - St Elias National Park & Preserve is a perfect location close by.
All the water falling down from the sky makes Lake Elsner a wet place; most of the rain falls

| | through September while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is one of the great places here in the Chugach Mountains. Summertime at Lake Elsner comes with high temperatures in the 60's while overnight lows are ordinarily in the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Lake Elsner.
This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Eyak Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood, and get dripping wet paddling on Glacier River. | |
