There's some flowing water nearby, Moose Creek is a stream you can go to during your stay, and a good close by hotel is Gold Miners Hotel. This lake is one of the great places here in the Talkeetna Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Tsadaka Canyon is a brilliant place to pop by close by, and Moose Creek is a magnificent whitewater spot nearby. Elks Lake is a location       that is quite dried up usually; the month with most of the rain is September, and March is when it's the driest. Summer brings highs in the 60's to Elks Lake while nighttime lows are usually in the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and overnight lows during the wintertime for Elks Lake tend to be in the 0's. After a long day outdoors Agate Inn is a glorious place to spend a night or two, as expected you could also take a look at Wishbone Lake                  since you're here; it's not far at all. If you go for the outdoors you'll go for it here in the Talkeetna Mountains. In the event that you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Wolverine Creek, and camping at Moose Creek Campground is always a splendid experience. Nearby lakes?
