High temperatures at Eleanor Lake during the warm days of summer are in the 60's, and the night is somewhat cooler of course, typically in the 40's. All through the winter highs are in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Eleanor Lake. There is a brilliant hiking trail close to Eleanor Lake called the Sheridan Mountain Trail, and lakes are such calm spots, why not take a look at Meeks Pond. Going       for a hike on the Lake Elsner Trail is always a fine adventure, and paddling on Power Creek is so much fun. Much rain falls at Eleanor Lake; the month of September is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is July. You'll beyond doubt wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing things in the Chugach Mountains. There are fine locations to look at along the McKinley Lake Trail, and Wrangell - St Elias National Park                  & Preserve is a nice location nearby. I don't want to stop, cause I'm havin' a splendid time here at Eleanor Lake. This lake is so wonderful. There are other places here than Eleanor Lake, for example Siamese Lakes, and whitewater paddling is great on Glacier River.
