Having a splendid time in the Talkeetna Mountains is simple. If you need a place to stay Agate Inn is a good choice, and why not camp at Mountain View RV Park while you're here at Echo Lake. At Echo Lake during the warm months highs are in the 60's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 40's. All through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's, and overnight lows at Echo Lake during       the wintertime usually drop into the 0's. The Talkeetna Mountains scenery is always beautiful. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Gold Miners Hotel; Archangel Creek has a magnificent whitewater paddling spot nearby. Homestead RV Campground is a great local campground; since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always have a look at nearby Long Lake. But wait, there's more fun stuff to do in the Talkeetna Mountains.
