Drill Lake is a location that is quite dried out ordinarily; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain, and April on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Packsaddle Gulch is a splendid place to explore. That right there is a heap of enjoyable things already but it goes on, the Talkeetna Mountains has it all. Some close by water includes Gravel Creek; paddling on Gravel Creek is so much fun. Don't leave Drill Lake without first going for a hike along the Chickaloon Knik Nelchina Trail; get dripping wet paddling on Hicks Creek.
