     Drill Lake is a nice lake to visit. Drill Lake is a location that is relatively dry regularly; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily July, that's the one that rains the most while April is the month with the least amount of precipitation. During the summer highs here at Drill Lake get into the 60's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 40's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 10's, and overnight lows during the winter for  
   Drill Lake tend to be in the-10's. This lake is one of the great places here in the Talkeetna Mountains.
So many entertaining things to do here in the Talkeetna Mountains, too great to be true. Looking for some flowing water? Try Gravel Creek, and do visit Tatondan Lake, it's a beautiful lake. Get your heart beating on the glorious whitewater of Gravel Creek; since you're here, you could also stop by gorgeous Index Lake. On a glorious day at Drill Lake
 
               you can take a hike along the Chickaloon Knik Nelchina Trail.
This lake is so wonderful. Drill Lake is in close proximity to Packsaddle Gulch which is definitely worth stopping at, and you can run the rapids of Hicks Creek.
