There are some fine whitewater spots on Matanuska River, and lakes are such calm locations, why not go to Harrison Lake. Drill Lake beyond doubt is in the middle of a charming outdoors paradise. This lake is located in the wonderful Talkeetna Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Gold Miners Hotel is a perfect place to spend a night or two, and since you're here       you can take a hike along the Chickaloon River Trail. Man, is there a heap of cool things to do in the Talkeetna Mountains. You'll discover a picturesque lake called Fish Lake near Drill Lake; if the weather is wonderful, you can go for a hike along the Chickaloon Trail. There's whitewater on Chickaloon River for all you adrenaline junkies, and Kings Mountain is scenic and can be distinguished from here.
