a great deal of water; the month of October is the wettest with most of the rain, and May meanwhile is the driest month. A splendid place for whitewater paddling next to Divide Lake is Portage River. There's so much to do here at Divide Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Beaver Pond Campground is a fine site for that.

 | 7 PHOTOS I think Alyeska has the highest elevation drop in Alaska but I could be wrong. Needless to say we're pretty ok with snow up here in Alaska, there's so much snow here you can't believe it. The skiing is perfect perfect! I cannot get enough of this mountain ever! Do wear plenty of clothes though.... |
