If the weather is glorious here at Dishno Pond, you can go for a hike along the Bird Creek Trail. There's so much to do here at Dishno Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Hidden Heaven RV Park is a brilliant location for that, and lots of folks from Anchorage come here. This lake is so wonderful. Head up to Alpenglow At Arctic Valley and strap some skis to your feet, and you       can stay the night at Centennial and Lions Campground. Whohoo, so much fun stuff in one place! Dishno Pond is excellent! You don’t have to go far from Dishno Pond to catch a sight of the water at Ship Creek Dam; the snow is great at Hilltop. Dishno Pond gets very little precipitation; most of the rain falls through September while April is frequently the driest month. You could also take a look at Lake Kiowa if you're here at Dishno Pond; it's nearby, and                  dry warm beds await you at Microtel Inn and Suites Anchorage Area -Eagle River-. This lake is so wonderful. Get dripping wet paddling on Campbell Creek, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Bull Rock Trail. High temperatures at Dishno Pond all through the days of summer are in the 60's; the nighttime is a little colder of course, regularly in the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 10's with temperatures at Dishno Pond dipping down into the 0's through winter nights. Whitewater paddling is great on Ship Creek; Dishno Pond is not the only place nearby, Ship Creek Reservoir is a nearby lake.
