Katmai National Park & Preserve is a great local destination here at Dishno Pond, and you don’t have to go far from Dishno Pond to distinguish the water at Ship Creek Dam. Dishno Pond is a splendid place to visit for more than one day, Centennial and Lions Campground is a splendid place to camp nearby. A day on the slopes of Hilltop is just what       you need; there are other spots here than Dishno Pond, for example Ship Creek Reservoir. So many enjoyable things right next door to Dishno Pond, clearly extraordinary. There's whitewater on Campbell Creek for all you adrenaline kick people, and lakes are such peaceful spots, why not stop by Lake Kiowa. If the weather is great here at Dishno Pond, you can go for a hike along the Bird Creek Trail, and why not head up to Alpenglow At Arctic Valley and strap                  some skis to your feet. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Dishno Pond has to offer, you can camp at Hidden Heaven RV Park; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Ship Creek. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Dishno Pond you can take a hike along the Bull Rock Trail, and dry warm beds await you at Microtel Inn and Suites Anchorage Area -Eagle River-. Dishno Pond is a location that is relatively waterless regularly; September is the wettest month with most rain, and April on the other hand is the driest. At Dishno Pond through the warm days of summer highs are in the 60's; the nighttime is quite chillier of course, ordinarily in the 50's.
