Going for a hike on the Stetson Creek Trail is always a tremendous adventure, and you can run the rapids of Kenai River. Not much precipitation falls here at Devils Pass Lake; throughout the month of September you get the most rain around here; the driest month is April. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Trail Lake Lodge, and you can go for a hike on the Cooper Lake Trail. And if that's not enough, there's heaps more to do close to Devils

Creek, and there are glorious places to discover along the Devils Pass Trail. There are other spots here than Devils Pass Lake, for example Cooper Lake. There's so much to do here at Devils Pass Lake that you need to camp here
for a while, Eagle Rising Resort and RV Campground is a delightful site for that. For the period of the warm months here at Devils Pass Lake, high temperatures generally get into the 60's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the
50's. For the duration of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 10's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Devils Pass Lake temperatures sink to the 0's.

Carter Lake Trail
 | 18 miles away 1 PHOTO Took the hike from the Seward highway and it was a very well maintained trail and good parking lot with even bathrooms. The hike was very intense and switch backed multiple times. Tiny streams cross your path. Once up top it is beautiful. After some time walking threw the alpine, you come across a trail which to the left take you to the lake and to the right takes you to the bear box and camping area. It's a stocked lake so bring your rod.... |
