Now, you may believe that's a heap but there's even more cool stuff to do here at Deep Lake. Getting to Cameron Creek from Deep Lake is trouble-free, and after a long day outdoors Best Western Valdez Harbor Inn is a delightful spot to spend a night or two. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Chugach Mountains.       Wrangell - St Elias National Park & Preserve is a good national park. Valdez Harbor Inn is a magnificent spot to get some rest, and if you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Lowe River. This lake is so wonderful. Nearby lakes? Sure, Crater Lake is in the neighborhood of Deep Lake, and Valdez Glacier Stream has a good whitewater paddling spot close by. But wait, there's more entertaining stuff to do in the Chugach Mountains.                  Deep Lake is a delightful place to visit for more than one day, Valdez Mobile Home and RV Park is a delightful place to camp nearby, and you could always explore Goat Gully. Deep Lake is located in the Chugach Mountains. Deep Lake is a wet place that gets a lot of precipitation; of all the months in a year September is the one with the most rain, and June on the other hand is the driest. At Deep Lake during the long summer days highs are in the 60's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 40's.
