Big Lake is a nearby lake that you could explore. Not much rainfall falls here at Deadman Lake; during the month of July you get the most rain around here while April is the month with the least amount of precipitation. A lake close by is Sally Lake, and you can run the rapids of Brushkana Creek. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors entertaining stuff the Alaska Range has to offer. If time allows, Gates Of The Arctic       National Park & Preserve is a national park worth checking out; a good place to camp here at Deadman Lake is Brushkana Campground. This lake is located in the wonderful Alaska Range. At Deadman Lake through the months of summer highs are in the 60's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 40's.
