At Stovers Dam near Dark Lake there are some interesting things to see, and dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Kodiak. This lake is so wonderful. A visit to Icehouse Point in the neighborhood of Dark Lake is always a pleasant idea, and lots of folks from Kodiak       come here. Zachar Bay Lodge is a nice campground nearby, and for you golfers we recommend nearby Bear Valley Golf Course. Be careful coming to Dark Lake, you might not ever want to return home again. Cyane Rock is a pleasant site to discover, and not far from Dark Lake you'll come across Island Lake which is a striking lake. Summertime brings highs in the 60's to Dark Lake. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 40's.                  Through the winter highs are mostly in the 30's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Dark Lake temperatures plunge to the 20's.
