Dandy Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. This lake is located in the wonderful Talkeetna Mountains. For the period of the summertime months at Dandy Lake highs are mostly in the 60's. Summer night lows descend down to the 40's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 20's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Dandy Lake temperatures drop to the 0's. | | at, Rivers Edge Recreation Park is a fine local campground, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Archangel Creek.
There are other places here than Dandy Lake, for example Finger Lake, and float down the rapids of Little Susitna River in a kayak. At Dandy Lake you don’t see much rain; of all the months in a year September is the one with the most rain while April is the month with the least amount of precipitation. All year is a magnificent time in the Talkeetna Mountains if you love the outdoors. There's so much to do here at Dandy Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Mountain View RV Park is a splendid spot
for that, and after a long day outdoors ALASKAS SELECT INN WASILLA is a pleasant location to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Kennedy Lake is a glorious lake next to Dandy Lake, and a tremendous close by hotel is Agate Inn.
