     There are other locations here than Curlew Lake, for example Snag Lake, and Mckinley Foothills B&B is a great location to get some rest. There's so much to do here at Curlew Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Alaska Canoe & Campgrounds is a good place for that, and not far from Curlew Lake you'll come across Bufflehead Lake which is a beautiful lake. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Moose River Recreational Vehicle Park. At Curlew Lake  
   you don’t see much precipitation; September is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month of the year is April.
High temperatures at Curlew Lake through the summer months are in the 60's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's; winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Curlew Lake.

I went to this lake a couple of years ago when we visited family there.  I am from VA.  It is the site of an abandoned state park.  To make a long story short, it lacks facilities. It is REALLY out of the way.  The lake there has fossilized trees jutting from the perimeter and is wild with waterborne vegetation.  The view is ASTONIGHING from the top of the park.  As the sun set, I was literally brought to tears by the expanse and beauty of what I saw.  It changed my life....
