Donna Cropley Langton: Does anyone out there know the scoop on how Cropley Lake got it's name. Our name crops up all over the world but it is not that common and I love to hear the stories. I was made aware of the name in Alaska after I visited my son who has moved there. We are Albertans.

Cropley Lake is a nice lake to visit. After a long day outdoors Juneau Airport Travelodge Hotel is a great location to spend a night or two, and hiking along the Moller Ski Trail is splendid fun. A great deal of rainfall falls at Cropley Lake; the month of October is the wettest with most of the rain; April meanwhile is the driest month. Time spent at Young Beach near Cropley Lake is always fine. This lake is so wonderful. Juneau Super 8 Motel is a magnificent

| | place to get some rest, and folks from Juneau love to come here. Yeah, come here to Cropley Lake for a perfect time. You can run the rapids of Lemon Creek close to Cropley Lake, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Lemon Creek Trail. This is a magnificent neighborhood for people who like lakes. Young Lake is a lake in close proximity, and going for a hike along the Nugget Creek Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. | |

High temperatures at Cropley Lake during the warm months are in the 60's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 40's. Highs throughout the wintertime are usually in the 20's with temperatures at Cropley Lake dipping down into
the 20's all through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. You're in all probability into lakes, Dredge Lake is one of those nearby, and the skiing at Eaglecrest is pleasant. If the weather is delightful, you acquire a good sight
of Mount Anderson from Cropley Lake, and Spruce Meadow Recreational Vehicle Park is a great local campground. A perfect place for whitewater paddling next to Cropley Lake is Mendenhall River; Cropley Lake is a good site to visit for more than one day, Auke Bay RV Park is a good site to camp nearby.

 | We are an RV Park with limited tenting spaces. Tenting is $20/night for one tent and 2 people with 2 kids under 12 are free (extra adults and children are additional fees), we are right on the bus route. Our showers are super clean.
