Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Archangel Creek, and if you came for an overnight stay Mountain View RV Park is a fine place to camp. If you need a place to stay ALASKAS SELECT INN WASILLA is a pleasant choice. You'll truly wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool stuff in the Talkeetna Mountains. This is a delightful area for folks who like lakes. Clear       Lake is a lake nearby, and after a long day outdoors Agate Inn is a pleasant location to spend a night or two. This lake is one of the great places here in the Talkeetna Mountains. Cornelius Lake gets very little precipitation; all through the month of September you get the most rain around here, and April is the month with the least moisture. For the duration of the long summer days highs here at Cornelius Lake reach the 60's. Summer night lows dip down                  to the 40's. Throughout the wintertime highs are mostly in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Cornelius Lake. This lake is so wonderful.
