Cornelius Lake is mostly a reasonably dehydrated place; the wettest month of the year is generally September, that's the one that rains the most; the driest of the months is April. Cornelius Lake beyond doubt is in the middle of a pretty outdoors paradise. For the period of the warm days of summer at Cornelius Lake highs are ordinarily in the 60's with overnight lows in the 40's. The       winter brings highs down to the 20's, and overnight lows in the 0's for Cornelius Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Little Susitna River, and not far from Cornelius Lake you'll hit upon Dandy Lake which is a gorgeous lake. That right there is a load of fun stuff already but it goes on, the Talkeetna Mountains has it all. There's whitewater on Archangel Creek for all you adrenaline people.                  Lakes are magnificent; Neklason Lake is a lake that's near Cornelius Lake. A magnificent nearby hotel is Agate Inn. There's so much to do here at Cornelius Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Mountain View RV Park is a great place for that.
