Cheney Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. This lake is so wonderful. Here at Cheney Lake there are plenty of people from Anchorage; don't forget to take a wonderful little tour to Middle Branch South Fork Chester Creek. While you're here at Cheney Lake, you could also go to gorgeous Lake Hideaway. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Cheney Lake has to offer, you can camp at Golden Nugget Camper Park. | | no way anybody can get bored here at Cheney Lake. A day on the slopes of Hilltop is just what you need, and a nice close by hotel is Ramada Limited Anchorage.
The snow is good at Alpenglow At Arctic Valley. Not much rainfall falls here at Cheney Lake; the month with most of the rain is September, and April on the other hand is the driest. site for that, and do have a look at University Lake, it's a striking lake.
Hiking along the Bull Rock Trail is great fun, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Campbell Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Katmai National Park &
Preserve is one of the destinations close to Cheney Lake that are good to go to, and after a long day outdoors Country Rose Manor B&B is a pleasant place to spend a night or two. Summertime brings highs in the 60's to Cheney Lake
while overnight lows are mostly in the 50's. All through the wintertime highs are mostly in the 20's, and nighttime lows at Cheney Lake throughout the winter typically fall into the 0's.
There are some fine whitewater spots on Ship Creek; a journey to Russian Jack Springs will fill your soul with tremendous feelings.
