    Chain Lakes is a lake worth visiting. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Pinnacle Mountain Recreation is a brilliant spot to camp, and there's good hiking along the Chickaloon River Trail. Throughout the long summer days at Chain Lakes temperatures are mostly in the 60's with nighttime lows in the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's, and nighttime lows at Chain Lakes during the winter usually sink into  
   the 0's. Chain Lakes is pretty dried out ordinarily; September is the month that gets the most rain; the driest of the months is March.
The Talkeetna Mountains scenery is always beautiful. So much amusing stuff to do here in the Talkeetna Mountains, too magnificent to be true. There are some nice whitewater spots on Granite Creek, and don't leave Chain Lakes without first going for a hike along the Chickaloon Trail. Dry warm beds await you at Gold Miners

If you come at the right time of year, Kings River offers some wonderful whitewater, and not far from Chain Lakes you'll hit upon Ruby Lake which is a wonderful lake.
