Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Granite Creek, and Gold Miners Hotel is a good location to get some rest. The Talkeetna Mountains scenery is always beautiful.                  And that's not all you can do here at Chain Lakes. Around Chain Lakes you don’t get a lot of rain; the month of September is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is March. This lake is so wonderful.
