| | Lakes is a perfect spot to visit for more than one day, Pinnacle Mountain Recreation is a perfect spot to camp nearby, and Thirtymile Lake is a nearby lake that you could check out. So much exciting stuff to do in the Talkeetna Mountains, not sufficient time. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Granite Creek, and Gold Miners Hotel is a good location to get some rest. The Talkeetna Mountains scenery is always beautiful. | |

And that's not all you can do here at Chain Lakes. Around Chain Lakes you don’t get a lot of rain; the month of September is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is March. This lake is so wonderful.
The Chickaloon River Trail offers hiking at its best, and if you come at the right time of year, Kings River offers some fine whitewater.
