If you like lakes and you're in this part of Alaska you can check out Canyon Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Canyon Lake gets very little precipitation; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain, and the driest of the months is April. If you want a delightful time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Alaska Range. Paddling on Gulkana River is so much fun. There's so much to do here at Canyon Lake that you need to camp here for a

| | while, Paxson Inn and Lodge is a nice place for that.
This lake is located in the wonderful Alaska Range. During the long summer days at Canyon Lake highs are commonly in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 40's. For the duration of the wintertime the highs are commonly in the 0's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Canyon Lake temperatures descend to the-20's. A tour to Wrangell - St Elias National Park & Preserve is recommended; if you came to camp Moose Horn RV Park is a delightful place to do that.
