Canyon Lake is a perfect place to visit for more than one day, Moose Horn RV Park is a perfect place to camp nearby, and if you've had enough of Canyon Lake, Paxson Lake is close by. Summertime highs at Canyon Lake generally tend to be in the 70's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 40's. All through the winter the highs are usually in the 0's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Canyon       Lake fall into the-20's. This lake is so wonderful. You could also stop at Meiers Lake since you're here at Canyon Lake; it's nearby, and whitewater paddling is brilliant on Gulkana River. This lake is located in the wonderful Alaska Range. Wrangell - St Elias National Park & Preserve is one of the destinations in the neighborhood of Canyon Lake that are splendid to go to, and Paxson Inn and                  Lodge is a delightful local campground.
