There's no way anybody can get bored here in the Wrangell Mountains. There are some pleasant whitewater spots on Nizina River; after a long day outdoors McCarthy Lodge & The Ma Johnsons Hotel is a good place to spend a night or two. Camel Lake is a brilliant place to visit for more than one day, Glacier View Campground is a brilliant place to camp nearby, and hey, Tractor Creek is a pleasant local stream. Camel Lake       is one of the lakes here in the Wrangell Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. There's whitewater on Chakina River for all you adrenaline junkies. At Camel Lake you don’t see much rain; during the month of July you get the most rain around here, and April meanwhile is the driest month. All through the summer months at Camel Lake temperatures are generally in the 60's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 40's.
