McCarthy Lodge & The Ma Johnsons Hotel is a perfect place to get some rest, and you'll come across a gorgeous lake called Star Lake. Lakes are such peaceful places, why not check out Wheat Lake near Camel Lake. There's so much to do here at Camel Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Glacier View Campground is a magnificent spot for that. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors fun stuff the Wrangell Mountains has to offer.       Tractor Creek flows through this neighborhood, and if you come at the right time of year, Nizina River offers some brilliant whitewater. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Chakina River. It is very dried out here at Camel Lake generally; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain, and April is the month with the least moisture. High temperatures at Camel Lake during the days of summer are in the                  60's, and the night is slightly colder of course, frequently in the 40's. Highs throughout the wintertime are generally in the 0's while Camel Lake nighttime low temperatures during the winter are in the-20's.
