You'll find a gorgeous lake called Wheat Lake near Camel Lake. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors fun stuff the Wrangell Mountains has to offer. While you're here at Camel Lake, you could also check out beautiful Star Lake, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Nizina River. For the duration of the days of summer, highs mostly are in the 60's       at Camel Lake. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 40's. Through the winter highs are in the 0's; after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Camel Lake descend into the-20's. McCarthy Lodge & The Ma Johnsons Hotel is a good place to get some rest; if you came for an overnight stay Glacier View Campground is a pleasant spot to camp. This lake is so wonderful. Take a side spree to Tractor Creek; get your heart beating on the glorious whitewater                  of Chakina River. Camel Lake is one of the lakes here in the Wrangell Mountains.
