Going for a hike on the Mitchell Bay Trail is always a wonderful adventure, and on a magnificent day you can take a hike along the Lake Alexander Trail. Much precipitation falls at Buck Lake; October is when you get the most rain here while April is the month with the least amount of precipitation. There is a tremendous hiking trail next to Buck Lake called the Hasselborg-Guerin Trail, and if you need       a place to stay Juneau Hotel is a good choice. This lake is so wonderful. At Buck Lake throughout the months of summer highs are in the 60's, and the overnight is rather chillier of course, typically in the 40's.
