While you're here at Black Lake you can play some golf at Settlers Bay Golf Club, and naturally, this is a wonderful neighborhood for folks who like lakes, Mud Lake is a lake nearby. It is very arid here at Black Lake frequently; the month with most of the rain is September while April is commonly the driest month. During the summer highs here at Black Lake get into the 60's with night lows in the 40's. Throughout the wintertime the highs are ordinarily in the 20's; nighttime lows in the 0's for Black Lake. Creek has a fine whitewater paddling spot nearby. Black Lake is a beautiful lake in the Talkeetna Mountains. Lakes are magnificent; Mud Lake is a lake that's next to Black Lake, and in case you don’t mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Little Susitna River.
