Through the summertime, highs generally are in the 60's at Black Lake. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's while Black Lake nighttime low temperatures during the winter are in the 0's. Camping is available at Iceworm RV Park, and Anderson Lake is a nearby lake that you could check out. So much exciting stuff to do       in the Talkeetna Mountains, not sufficient time. A great close by hotel is ALASKAS SELECT INN WASILLA, and a perfect location to camp here at Black Lake is Denali River Cabins and RV Park. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun stuff at Black Lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Agate Inn is a glorious choice, and in close proximity to Black Lake you hit upon a golf course called Settlers Bay Golf Club. Paddling on                  Little Susitna River is so much fun, and get drenched paddling on Archangel Creek. It is very waterless here at Black Lake commonly; of all the months in a year September is the one with the most rain, and April is the month with the least moisture.
