A great place to camp here at Birch Lake is Tolsona wilderness Campground; if you're looking for a perfect tour, Wrangell - St Elias National Park & Preserve is reasonably near. This lake is so wonderful. This is a pleasant neighborhood for people       who like lakes. Boulder Lake is a lake in the vicinity; Klutina River is a great whitewater spot nearby. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always take a look at close by Middle Lake. Camping at Northern Nights Campground is always a good experience, and a wonderful spot for whitewater paddling is Gulkana River. Summer at Birch Lake comes with high temperatures in the 70's; the night is somewhat cooler of course, usually in the 40's.
