This lake is so wonderful. Katmai National Park & Preserve is one of the destinations near Birch Lake that are splendid to go to, and there are plenty of people from Anchorage here. So much entertaining stuff near Birch Lake, just amazing. Sail-n-fun Resort is a pleasant local campground,       and hey, Gotta ski right? Alpenglow At Arctic Valley is a great place to do that. Lakes? Sure, Zero Lake is in the neighborhood. Sourdough Lodge is a tremendous place to get some rest, and what would winter be without some skiing at Hilltop. During the summer here at Birch Lake, high temperatures commonly get into the 60's. Summer night lows dip down to the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 20's with temperatures at Birch Lake dipping down                  into the 0's throughout winter nights. A perfect close by hotel is Ramada Limited Anchorage; why not camp at Riverside Camper Park if you're here at Birch Lake.
