There's some flowing water close by, Chester Creek is a stream you can stop by during your stay, and a perfect place for whitewater paddling is Campbell Creek. If you want a wonderful time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Bentzen Lake. Chester Creek Dam is a place that is right next door to Bentzen Lake, and Delaney Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop at. This lake       is so wonderful. There's nice hiking along the Bull Rock Trail, and close by you hit upon Bootlegger Cove. A magnificent location to camp here at Bentzen Lake is Hiline Lake Wilderness Camp; lots of folks from Anchorage come here. Katmai National Park & Preserve is a good local destination here at Bentzen Lake, and camping at Polar Bear Inn is always a great experience. Bentzen Lake gets very little rain; throughout the month of September you get the most rain                  around here, and April is the month with the least moisture. A golf course close to Bentzen Lake is Anchorage Golf Course, and Microtel Inn and Suites Anchorage - Airport is a wonderful place to get some rest. Very scenic scenery and tremendous skiing is what you get at Alpenglow At Arctic Valley, and while you're here, you could also pop by beautiful Connors Lake. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable things at Bentzen Lake. During the warm days of summer at Bentzen Lake highs are commonly in the 60's, and the overnight is somewhat cooler of course, frequently in the 50's. Highs through the wintertime are usually in the 20's, and night lows at Bentzen Lake through the wintertime commonly dip into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful.
