The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 60's to Bench Lake while overnight lows are typically in the 40's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 10's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Bench Lake drop into the-10's. Yeah, come up here to the Talkeetna Mountains for a great time. Paddling on Hicks Creek is so much fun, and Index Lake is a nearby       lake that you could go to. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is perfect on Gravel Creek, and some close by water includes Hicks Creek. At Bench Lake you don’t see much precipitation; July is the wettest month with most rain, and April meanwhile is the driest month.
