This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Moose Creek offers some splendid whitewater, and Bestview Mobile Home Village is a glorious campground nearby. Kroa Kamping Resorts-alaska is a great local campground, and if you get bored of Barbel Lake you could also stop at close by Gull Lake. Barbel Lake       is a location that is quite dried up regularly; during September this area sees the most rain; March is the month with the least moisture. This lake is located in the wonderful Talkeetna Mountains. All year is a good time in the Talkeetna Mountains if you have a thing about the outdoors. After a long day outdoors Gold Miners Hotel is a nice place to spend a night or two; Gull Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop at.
