After a long day outdoors Agate Inn is a wonderful place to spend a night or two; float down the rapids of Little Susitna River in a kayak. Get covered with water paddling on Eagle River. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Lake Barbara has to offer, you can camp at Homestead RV Campground. Whohoo, so many enjoyable things in one place! Lake Barbara is excellent!. Gold       Miners Hotel is a brilliant site to get some rest, and you can stay the night at Mountain View RV Park. Not much rainfall falls here at Lake Barbara; the month of September is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest month is April. This lake is so wonderful. There is a pleasant hiking trail in the vicinity of Lake Barbara called the Crow Pass Trail; you get a tremendous view of Mount POW/MIA from here. High temperatures at Lake Barbara during the                  summertime months are in the 60's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's.
