This is a great region for folks who like lakes. Baptist Pond is a lake close by; after a long day outdoors Best Western Lake Lucille Inn is a good site to spend a night or two. A trip to Katmai National Park & Preserve is worthwhile, and the smiling people of Anchorage like to hang out close by. So many cool things to do here in the       Talkeetna Mountains, too great to be true. Baptist Pond is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Hidden Heaven RV Park is a fine local campground. Lakes are glorious; Hess Lake is a lake that's in the neighborhood of Baptist Pond. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Microtel Inn and Suites Anchorage Area -Eagle River- is a perfect choice, and Eagle River has a great whitewater paddling spot close by. You truly ought to love Baptist Pond.                  There's so much to do here at Baptist Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Alaskan Trails Rv and Camper Park is a magnificent spot for that.
