If you are traveling by, why not stop by Auke Lake. Good hiking is available along the Montana Creek Trail; during your trip here you'll meet some folks from Juneau for sure. Go for a hike on the West Glacier Trail, and while you're here, you could also stop at gorgeous Mendenhall Lake. If only every site had this much outdoors cool things, what a great globe it would be. | | day outdoors Pearsons Pond Inn and Spa is a splendid site to spend a night or two, and going for a hike on the Spaulding Trail is always a nice adventure. This lake is so wonderful. Drift down the rapids of Montana Creek in a kayak, and Pederson Hill is pretty and can be observed from here. Why not camp at Spruce Meadow Recreational Vehicle Park since you're here at Auke Lake, and Nugget Creek is a nearby lake that you could go to. If you come at the right | |

time of year, Mendenhall River offers some glorious whitewater, and Battleship Reef is a brilliant site to spend some time. Man, is there plenty of enjoyable things to do close to Auke Lake. The slopes of Eaglecrest are so inviting
nobody can resist, and don't forget to take a good little journey to Auke Creek. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Auke Lake you must stop at Mendenhall Peninsula; a good location to camp here at Auke Lake is Auke Bay
RV Park. High temperatures at Auke Lake through the days of summer are in the 60's with overnight lows in the 40's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 20's; night lows during the winter for Auke Lake tend to be
in the 20's. The high level of rain makes Auke Lake a relatively wet site; the month with most of the rain is October while April is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
