While staying at Auke Lake you could always discover Battleship Reef, and Auke Lake is not the only place close by, Nugget Creek is a close by lake. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Mendenhall River, and going for a hike on the Montana Creek Trail is always a pleasant adventure. Much precipitation falls       at Auke Lake; during the month of October you get the most rain around here while April is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Throughout the summer months highs here at Auke Lake get into the 60's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 40's. High temperatures throughout the wintertime are normally in the 20's with temperatures at Auke Lake dipping down into the 20's through winter nights. Soar down the rapids of Montana Creek                  in a kayak, and a fine sight of picturesque Pederson Hill is available. If only every site had this much outdoors exciting things, what a great globe it would be. A quick journey to Auke Creek close to Auke Lake is a tremendous idea, and the Spaulding Trail is a glorious hiking trail close by. A lake close by is Mendenhall Lake; if you need a site to stay Best Western Grandma's Feather Bed is a great choice. If you came for an overnight stay Auke Bay RV Park is a great place to camp, and everybody close by loves skiing at Eaglecrest. And if that's not sufficient, there's a lot more to do in the vicinity of Auke Lake. While you're here at Auke Lake you will meet lots of people from nearby Juneau. This lake is so wonderful.
