East Beach is a place where you won’t see full-size crowds, but it really is a wonderful beach. For all you camping folks there are campgrounds around here. This piece of shore is an outstanding site to check out. There's so much amusing things to do near East Beach including swimming, fishing, boating, and hiking, so it's not possible to become bored. lodgings are rather far away from the beach, but you'd better reserve prior to departure as these hotels fill up fast during the summertime. Hiking is a popular thing to do around East Beach; Galveston Island State Park Trail is a tremendous local trail, and stopping by Galveston
| | Island State Park is a wonderful thing to do. A visit to Fort Point right next door to East Beach is always a splendid idea, and Bolivar Beach is reasonably close by if you're in a beach type of mood. A spree to Big Thicket National Preserve is recommended. For the period of the summer months here at East Beach, high temperatures regularly reach the 90's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 70's.
