Hiwassee/Ocoee Scenic River State Park is a great place to stretch your legs a bit; there's delightful hiking along the Clemmer Trail. Ocoee Dam Number One is beautiful and it's next to Parksville Beach; a day at Shady Beach is time well spent. While you're here at Parksville Beach you will meet  
lots of people from nearby Cleveland It's always pleasant to visit Rymer Spring. There are some great whitewater spots on Conasauga River, and if you're here, do take a trip to Indian Creek Inlet. Man, is there a heap of cool things to do near Parksville Beach. At Parksville Beach through the warm months highs are in the 80's while nighttime lows are commonly in the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Parksville Beach. A great deal of rain falls at Parksville Beach; the month with most of the rain is March while October is ordinarily the driest month.
