easy. Near State Park Beach you hit upon the Walkabout Trail which is a glorious hiking trail, and why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Country View Golf Club. There are plenty of folks from Providence-New Bedford-Fall River here at State Park Beach, and
a round of golf at nearby Fairlawn Golf Course is a nice way to kill some time. Getting to Mill River from State Park Beach is painless. During the warmest time of the year, highs frequently are in the 80's at State Park Beach; during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's.
The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's; after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at State Park Beach sink into the 10's.
