| | Going to the beach in Rhode Island is such a fine pursuit. This section of shore has so much. The close by places to stay are a little far from the beach, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your vehicle. Old Salt Work Beach doesn’t have a lot of services, but being at the beach is such an enjoyable thing to do, and this is an excellent spot to do that. Some of the pursuits here are fishing, boating, golfing, hiking, swimming, and whitewater paddling, so you won't run out of enjoyable things to do. You can raise that tent of yours |

or park your RV at a nearby campground. Choppy water and a wonderful seaboard is such a beautiful view. Don't leave Old Salt Work Beach without first checking out Rams Head, and Fall River Heritage State Park is a good spot. Whitewater paddling is great on Matunuck Shore Break,
| | and the Clayhead Nature Trail is a magnificent hiking trail nearby. You're sure to stumble upon some good people from Providence-New Bedford-Fall River here; close by Brenton Reef is a pleasant place to go. Great Creek is a striking stream that is worth visiting; enjoy a round of golf at Jamestown Golf Course. And that's not all you can do here at Old Salt Work Beach. That right there is a lot already, but it carries on; Old Salt Work Beach has it all. At Old Salt Work Beach during the summer highs are in the 80's while nighttime lows are frequently in the 60's. Through the winter highs are in the 30's, and nighttime lows at Old Salt Work Beach during the winter frequently descend into the 10's. Old Salt Work Beach gets a great deal of water; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest of the months is July. |
