Whitewater paddling is nice on Matunuck Shore Break, and you can go for a hike on the Narragansett Trail. East Beach in fact is in the middle of a pretty outdoors paradise. East Beach typically gets a good deal of rain; the month with most of the rain is November, and February is the month with the least moisture. During the days of summer at East Beach highs are commonly in the 80's while overnight lows are generally in the 50's.
