On a lovely day you can stop by Playa de Guayanilla right next door to Playa de Tamarindo, and splendid hiking is available along the Lluberas Trail. de la Ballena is relatively next to Playa de Tamarindo, and if you come at the right time of year, Guabo River offers some fine whitewater. There are some good whitewater spots on Areciebo River. Playa de Tamarindo generally gets much rain; the month with most of the rain is September,
and February is the month with the least moisture. All through the long summer days highs here at Playa de Tamarindo reach the 90's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. During the winter the highs are usually in the 80's; overnight lows in the 60's for Playa de Tamarindo.
