This is a pleasant ski area. Rio Maunabo is close to Playa Maunabo and is always a delight to stop at, and Playa Icacos is quite nearby if you're in a beach type of mood. Arrecife Sargent is a brilliant location to explore, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Playa Maunabo; Charco Azul Trail is a tremendous local trail. Maunabo. If you want to hit the beach, Playa Mala Pascua is close at hand, and Punta Tuna is very near and is a fine site to stop by. Be careful coming to the Wind River Range, you might not ever want to return home again. Caribbean National Forest is a good site. During the summer
months here at Playa Maunabo, high temperatures frequently get into the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. During the wintertime the highs are generally in the 80's, and nighttime lows through the winter for Playa Maunabo tend to be in the 60's. Playa Maunabo mostly gets much rain; the month with most of the rain is August while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
