Sunset Beach. Sunset Beach is right next door to Nehalem Bay State Park which is a striking site; Nehalem Bay is not far at all. Float down the rapids of Kilchis River - North Fork in a kayak, and if you're here you can play some golf at Manzanita Golf Course. If you want to hit
the beach, Nehalem Beach is in the vicinity, and if you come at the right time of year, Nehalem River offers some nice whitewater. Sunset Beach sees pretty high levels of rain; through the month of December you get the most rain around here, and the driest month of the year is
August. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 60's to Sunset Beach. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 50's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Sunset Beach.
