for a hike along the Cannon Beach Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region, and on a splendid day it's a good idea to spend the day at Arcadia Beach. Paddling on Kilchis River - North Fork is so much fun, and float down the rapids of Nehalem River in a kayak.

Throughout the long summer days here at Short Sand Beach, high temperatures frequently reach the 60's. Summer nighttime lows dip down to the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 50's, and after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at Short Sand Beach drop into the 30's. |
