If you'll be living in a hotel you're in luck, places to stay are at your disposal in close proximity to the beach, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up slumbering in your vehicle. golfing, and whitewater paddling, so running out of endeavors won't occur. Ok, you've been indoors for too long; Main Street Beach in Erie County, Ohio is exactly what you must have. During your stay at Main Street Beach do go to close by Nickel Plate Beach, and East Turning Basin
| | is not far at all from Main Street Beach. Lots of folks from Sandusky come to Main Street Beach, and don't leave Main Street Beach without first going for a hike along the Blackberry Trail. Vermilion River has a nice whitewater paddling spot nearby, and getting to Huron River from Main Street Beach is trouble-free. Go for a hike on the Wetlands Trail, and playing golf is lots of fun at Thunderbird Hills Golf Course. You imagine that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Trail is always a splendid adventure. A spree to nearby Anchor Point is very relaxing, and Marblehead Lighthouse State Park is a glorious site. The yearly rain here at Main Street Beach is about average; during the month of August you get the most rain around here, and February
is the month with the least moisture. High temperatures at Main Street Beach through the summer months are in the 80's, and the nighttime is rather cooler of course, generally in the 60's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 30's, and night lows in the 10's for Main Street Beach.
