Tobay Beach, Nassau County, New York
|
| | I am trying to find if there is any activities for Tobay Beach. A family show I am told is what is showing there can I please get a feed back from anyone? Says Caterina Kunzeman
I have lived on Long Island my whole life. I grew up at Point Lookout, Jones, Robert Moses. Since becoming a resident of Oyster Bay (Farmingdale) we get a pass for the year to go to Tobay. It is the nicest, family friendly beach around. Best beach, park, ocean, pavillion. LOVE IT! Says Chris
First of all, if there was water in the tunnels it means that there was |
|
a lot of rain recently. Secondly, it is a private beach, for Town of Oyster Bay residents, and the high price for non-residents is to keep them to a minimum so residents such as myself can use the beach that their taxes support without it being too crowded, like Jones Beach.
| I pay $40 for the whole summer unlimited parking. Says Diane
$30 is not alot for people living in Manhattan. This Beach is for Oyster Bay residents. We do pay 12000-20000 in property taxes per year. Says Greg
No idea when you went to visit...the fee is for the seaon not one day and the people and faciilites are always clean Says
PARKING FEES ARE CRAZY-- $30 TO PARK, ITS A JOKE--SHOULD MAKE IT A PRIVATE BEACH, THATS WHAT YOU WANT. COSTS LESS TO PARK IN MANHATTAN. Says J.MURRAY
We visited Tobay Beach with relatives who live | |

on Long Island. It cost $30.00 a car( 2 cars). We found the bathrooms filthy, the tunnels with old water above our ankles -workers unpleasant. It was a family reunion with people from Nevada, Florida, and upstate New York. We felt we were robbed. The remaining time we spent at

Tobay Beach is a place where you won’t catch a sight of great crowds, but a lot of folks like to come here to be right next door to the water. New York has so many things to offer beach lovers. This is such an exciting segment of shoreline. You might have to settle for a hotel a far away from the beach if you want to stay for a few days, and if you make reservations prior to departure you're all set. You shouldn't be |

inside all the time; you need to get out occasionally; In case you happen to be in Nassau County of New York, Tobay Beach is a wonderful local section of shore. The azure waves hitting the New York seaside is a view worth seeing. Outdoors recreation is abundant; some of the amusing
stuff you can do are fishing, boating, whitewater paddling, golfing, and swimming, so you could stick around. If you want to hit the beach, Gilgo Beach is around here, and do schedule some time to take a look at South Oyster Bay if you have a chance. So much exciting stuff to
do here in the Northern Cascade Range, too good to be true. Places like Jones Beach State Park are great to stop by; why not go to Tobay Heading also while you're here. A lot of fun is at this campground. Peninsula Golf Club is a wonderful golf course close by; Jones Beach is
pretty close by if you're in a beach type of mood. Tobay Beach gets a lot of water; November is the wettest month with most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. At Tobay Beach all through the warmest time of the year highs are in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's.
