Silver Beach, Hamilton County, New York Custom Search   A visit to New York is not complete without some time spent on the beach. When was the last occasion you went to the beach? Silver Beach in Hamilton County, New York is an outstanding location for getting out. Some things to do here are fishing, hiking, boating, swimming, and whitewater paddling, so you could stay a while. If by chance you're a camper you can set up that camp site at one of the good campgrounds in close proximity. The sparkling water and such a lovely beach is such a gorgeous vista. Silver Beach is not an exceptionally visited slice     of coastline, but when you're here you're always having a brilliant time. You could have to settle for a hotel a far away from the beach if you want to stay for the night, and if you make reservations in advance of a trip you're all set. There's whitewater on Raquette River for all you thrill seekers, and South Bay is not far at all. There are great sites to look at along the Northville Lake Placid Trail, and since you're here, do take a spree to Pine Knot Point. The peak of Estelle Mountain can be seen from Silver Beach, and there are some fine whitewater spots on Moose River - South Branch. Going for a hike on the Sucker Brook Trail is always a pleasant adventure, and of course Death Brook is a delightful stream that is worth a visit. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff at Silver Beach. Silver Beach       is a wet site that gets a good deal of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is August while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. At Silver Beach during the long summer days highs are in the 70's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's.
