Some things to do here are fishing, hiking, boating, swimming, and whitewater paddling, so you could stay a while. | | all you thrill seekers, and South Bay is not far at all. There are great sites to look at along the Northville Lake Placid Trail, and since you're here, do take a spree to Pine Knot Point. The peak of Estelle Mountain can be seen from Silver Beach, and there are some fine whitewater spots on Moose River - South Branch. Going for a hike on the Sucker Brook Trail is always a pleasant adventure, and of course Death Brook is a delightful stream that is worth a visit. is a wet site that gets a good deal of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is August while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. At Silver Beach during the long summer days highs are in the 70's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Silver Beach.
