| | State Park when you're here is never a bad idea. But wait, there's more cool stuff to do in the Wind River Range. Ligonee Brook flows through this area; on a gorgeous day you get a nice panorama of South Ferry Hills from Short Beach. This ski area has it all. The South Ferry Hills here at Short Beach makes the scenery here splendid; if you're here you can play some golf at Shelter Island Country Club. now, cause I'm havin' a brilliant time here at Short Beach. Time spent at Shell Beach right next door to Short Beach is always tremendous; you have to stop at North Haven Peninsula when you're here. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Wind River Range. Short Beach sees pretty
high levels of rainfall; during the month of November you get the most rain around here, and the driest of the months is September. Summertime at Short Beach arrives with high temperatures in the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 30's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Short Beach.
