Caleb Smith State Park is a tremendous place, and the nice folks of Bridgeport-Stamford-Norwalk like to hang out nearby. During your stay at Short Beach do have a look at close by Callahans Beach, and Hamlet Wind Watch Golf & Country Club is a golf course close by. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting stuff at Short Beach. For you golfers we recommend nearby Smithtown Landing Golf Course, and a golf course nearby is Nissequogue Golf Club. Short Beach gets a       lot of water; most of the rain falls during May while February is mostly the driest month. At Short Beach during the summer months highs are in the 80's with night lows in the 60's.
